Teachers
have a crucial role in the dispensing of effective education.
Teachers are the basic channel in effecting Educational
goals and objectives. It is then expected that teachers
be accorded the respect deserving of their profession.
The future teacher must be trained to develop skills in
the interpretation and use of existing curricula
in schools and in the organization of new curricula. The
teacher of the future must acquire specialized knowledge
concerning recognized patterns of human development, interaction
and learning: the needs, interests and abilities of those
being taught, and the ways of relating effectively to learners
in the individual and the group context. The teacher of
the future must develop an awareness of the many facets
of the teaching role and the role of the school in society.
This teacher must attain an integration of theory and practice
based on individual personal style and adaptation to the
realities of the school setting.
